Stream Your Social Networks from A Single Location with Vinehub

Stream Your Social Networks from A Single Location with Vinehub.Vinehub is a social media connector that lets you stream your social networking content from one central location; it is a work in process. They state that they will be constantly adding new features in the next few months. So far it only supports importing content from Twitter and Facebook, but soon they’ll also be adding support for MySpace and LinkedIn.

Google Buzz is also integrated into each tweet and Facebook status messages. There is a “Post to Google Buzz” link that does just what it says – repost the item to your Buzz account.

Once you connect your accounts, you can see all of your updates (from Twitter and Facebook) on the homepage. Here you can reply & retweet on Twitter content and comment & like on Facebook content. It also shows the current likes and comments on Facebook content.

Commenting on Facebook items is done inline, which is nice – unlike with tweets. Replies to tweets are composed in the box at the top of the page. So, when commenting on Facebook items you won’t lose your place but unfortunately you probably will lose your place when replying to a tweet. This could mean extra scrolling (up and down) when replying to someone.

You can also post tweets and status messages right from the site. Messages can be posted to Twitter and/or Facebook (you decide). There doesn’t seem to be an integrated URL shortener or a way to directly share images or any other content.

There is a filter button on the timeline that didn’t seem to do anything when I clicked it. Maybe soon there will be a way to view just Twitter updates or Facebook updates. The site also seems to be a bit slow when clicking on a button or link.

When you sign up you’ll have a free standard account. There will soon be a PRO account that will offer a lot more. You’ll be free of ads on the site and you’ll also receive priority updates and priority technical support. Lastly, you’ll be able to add 5 accounts per social network. Currently there is not a price (that I could find) for the upgraded account.

People are always looking for new ways to aggregate their social networks, which is why I wanted to try out Vinehub. Even though I think it is too early to tell just how useful it will be, I definitely think it’s worth keeping an eye on. While it’s not love at first site, I can see that it has true potential. What do you think?
